Research project: "Temporal Relational Database Management Systems"
Goal
The overall goal of this project is to enrich relational database management systems (RDBMs) with support for storing and querying temporal data.
Objectives
- To develop the foundations for processing temporal data (temporal relational algebra, SQL syntax).
- To tightly integrate the support for temporal data in existing DBMS technologies.
- To implement these extensions in PostgreSQL and submit it as a patch to be included in future release.
